About Upfluence

Upfluence helps brands tell their story with powerful influencer & content marketing technology. Upfluence’s software allows brands and agencies to identify and contact millions of social influencers and bloggers at scale to execute comprehensive influencer marketing campaigns, as well as provide detailed reporting metrics. Since the launch of our SaaS software in October 2016, the company has yielded a monthly double-digit growth rate, and we are therefore seeking further expansion for our team and offices. Our rapidly growing global team is currently distributed between our offices in NYC, Los Angeles, and Lyon.

What We Do

We aggregate and serve data for 12M+ influencers across major social networks, which brings exciting engineering challenges around data, scalability, and performance.

Our backend stack includes:

  • Languages: Golang, Ruby
  • Databases: PostgreSQL, Apache Cassandra
  • Search & Messaging: Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ
  • Other tech: Apache Thrift (RPC), Prometheus (monitoring)

We believe in microservice architecture and domain-driven design, which keeps our systems modular and maintainable; some have been running flawlessly for over 5 years!

We’re DevOps-minded: engineers deploy multiple times per day and own their code in production. We automate everything we can with GitHub Actions and in-house tools. Our 100+ microservices run over 1,600 containers, and we’re actively migrating to Kubernetes.

Most importantly, we’re product-driven: we write code to make our customers successful, not for the sake of complexity.

How We Work

We believe collective intelligence drives engineering excellence.
Every developer has a voice in technical decisions through proposals and RFCs; we learn, build, and improve together.

Our team works in a Scrum framework with 2-week sprints, combining focus and flexibility.

Each sprint starts with clear goals and ends with a review and retrospective to continuously improve our process.

We value transparency, shared ownership, and cross-team collaboration so everyone knows how their work impacts the product.

We also love open source and regularly share our libraries with the community.

Your Role

As a Software Engineer, you will:

  • Write reliable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Be part of the entire feature lifecycle, from design to production and long-term maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates, review PRs, and contribute to technical discussions.
Work hand-in-hand with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure a great user experience.

What we are looking for

You don’t need to be a Golang expert; we’re looking for fast learners who are curious and eager to grow.

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Enjoy solving complex technical problems with a pragmatic mindset.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively.
  • Are comfortable working in English (French not required).
  • Care about building a product that truly helps users.
  • Are reliable, collaborative, and open to feedback.

What we have to offer

  • Your spot with the team in one of our awesome Lyon office, or even remote, either way, is fine with us. You’ll be answering issues on Github and making bad jokes on Discord anyway!
  • An entrepreneurial and dynamic startup environment with room for growth.
  • A mixed and international team (22+ nationalities).
  • An empowering and autonomous position in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Regular exchanges with the US/FR offices.
  • Stock options.
  • The answer to life, the universe, and everything.
  • Join a motivated and growing team!
